Individual Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured approach to alleviate distress from traumatic memories or distressing life experiences. Developed by Francine Shapiro, it’s based on the idea that traumatic experiences overwhelm the brain’s coping mechanisms. During sessions, therapists guide clients through recalling memories while focusing on external stimuli, such as eye movements or tapping. The goal is to process these memories and integrate them adaptively. EMDR has shown effectiveness in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions.
Parent Coaching
Parent Coaching involves the therapist working collaboratively with the parent or caregiver to understand the child’s unique needs and
experiences. The therapist helps the parent recognize and respond sensitively to their child’s cues and emotions, fostering a secure attachment. The goal of parent coaching is to empower parents with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to coregulate their child. A strong and healthy attachment relationship with their child lays the foundation for optimal development and well-being.
